New member here. Just acquired my very first hens this week and looking to learn as much as I can to give them the best life.

Congratulations on your first flock! What breed of hens do you have?

The girls are Red Comets. I’m hoping to add a variety of chicks next year, but I’m currently bottle feeding baby goats in my living room, with no room to raise chicks this time . One species of baby at a time. I live in a tiny house.

And thank you! I’ve always wanted chickens. I had just planned on being more prepared and researched before I did so. I acquired the baby goats and the girls at the same time, from the same place.
