Lets see, well, we are recently retired. We have a small flock of chickens, enough to keep us in eggs and occasional company. Have had issues in the past with free ranging the chickens due to eagles, hawks, coyotes. But got that taken care of quickly. Loving the retired life and love to watch my chickens...it's soothing to me. Recently had a new ISA hen that just started laying.... lay 2 egg within eggs her first week laying. Hasn't had another. NOT double yokers but honest to goodness egg within and egg. the egg within was of normal size. I thought I heard a grunt coming from the coop!!!! hahaha. I also raise Rat Terriers which love to chase chickens, so they are kept apart at all times!!!! Excited to be a part of this group and learn from ya'll.
