Hi everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. This is my first year with chickens and I love the whole process from raising the chicks to building their coop and run. Even walking into the swamp with my daughter to bring them back home when they stray has become a blast. My daughter, who incidentally right now, is screaming on my lap as I type this due to the fact that I just had to retrieve a pea out from her nose. She’s two and beautiful, mostly.
Anyway, we have 5 birds here in northwest ct. 3 Rhode Islands, I think. 1 araucana, if I am even close to pronouncing or spelling that correctly, and another which I’m not sure. She seems to like it here though. In addition to my lovely daughter, still in a tantrum, I’m an operating engineer by day and a badass guitarist by night. We just recently lost a lovely pit bull named mocha and have an extremely non social cat that we think just tuned 35 this year who obviously contains some genetic code for non-aging.
