I just joined today because I want to get chickens, but I don't have a large enough property to keep them here. Right now I want to learn as much as I can and hopefully help get our laws changed here. They revisited the law last December to allow more people to keep them, but it didn't pass. 
Right now we can keep 4 hens, but they need to be kept 50' off the lot line, and most lots here are narrow so that excludes most including me. The new law would allow them to be kept from 20' the lot line. I thought about just getting some, but my neighbors are opposed to it now (even though they were for it before). If anyone knows someone in the area also wanting to help get this passed I would love to talk to you. I want to fight for our rights to own chickens.
