Hi from East Lansing, Michigan

Hey guys, I've been lurking on this site for a couple of years now, but I finally got around to registering after I received my first chicks this week! I have 2 silkie bantams (1 white, 1 blue), 1 golden laced wyandotte, 1 salmon faverolle, and 1 buff brahma bantam - they're all 5 days old. This is my first time being around chickens and they've been pretty entertaining so far - it's amazing how much their different personalities are already shining through. My silkies are definitely the sweet hearts of the group . My husband and I don't have our coop built yet, so they're staying in one of our guest bedrooms for the time being. Anyone else from East Lansing? When I got my chicken permit, the office said that there are about a dozen or so others who had permits in town. Just curious .
