Hi from Eastern Tn. , we have started a new flock of Buff Orpington chicks ( 5 hens , 1 roo ) for eggs to go along with our homegrown veggies. We live in a semi rural area and have plenty of space for free ranging and no issues with neighbors. The chicks are 5 weeks old and are doing well. We have another 12 Buff Orp chicks ( hens) due to arrive next week and will be separated in the brooder until old enough to turn out into the coop/run. I will post a few pix of the new flock and their home in the near future.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Congrats on all the new birds!! Chickens sure are fun to keep. And Buff Orps are a very nice breed whether you keep them as pets or for the eggs or meat. Nice friendly docile breed.

Make yourself at home here and if you have any questions about anything, feel free to ask around the forums.

Welcome to our flock!
