At the moment I don't have any chickens but that will be changing soon, hopefully by August. I'm looking at getting around 1/2 dozen with a mix of Blackrock, Blacktail and Speckledy, raising chickens will add to the other things that keep me active and out of the way of the crazy world we live in. Those being growing veg on my plot on an allotment site and also recycling stuff for said plot, I have the money to buy things but gives me more of a thrill building something as cheap as I can rather than buying it, an example my shed on my plot which cost £5 about $7 to build most of that going on wood stain.

Anyway I hope to gain help with the design of the coop & run and tips on raising the hens, any help will be greatly appreciated.
