We've been looking at this site learning about chickens for quite some time.

After almost 2 years of thinking about it, we decided to start with 3 Plymouth Barred Rocks that were only a few days old when we got them. They're about 9 weeks old now, and so far, they look like they'll be the right choice for our area.

Welcome! I am a newbie to this site too and hope to order at least 1 Barred Rock when I order my chicks. They are so pretty and the brown eggs will be delicious :)

Hello from Tn, im a newbie also just got my chickens last saturday i purchased Black Jersey Giants 1 roo, 2 hens and a pullet.. my brother who is a new member here also purchased on the same day he bought 1 roo not sure of breed but it is BEAUTIFUL.. 5 barred rock hens we both have went chicken cooo cooo..!!
