Hi from Gilbert, Arizona!

Hi everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster here.

My family and I are in Gilbert, Arizona and last Saturday we finally got our first four chickens! We got 12 week old pullets; a white Leghorn, a Rhode Island Red, an Ameraucana, and a Cuckoo Maran. So far, I'm a little partial to the Cuckoo Maran...she has such a sweet temperament! The Leghorn is awfully flighty...hopefully she will get a little better as she gets older and more used to us. I've never had chickens before, and I'm so excited to be venturing into this hobby.

I look forward to learning more from all of you!

I sure do miss AZ. My mom had a condo there for quite a few years and I went every year to visit. Sun City. I miss getting out of the cold of MI and just lay in the sun. Mom got ill and sold the place. Oh, to be in the sun right now!!

I remember when Gilbert didn't have any paved roads!! Heck, I remember when Baseline Rd through Mesa wasn't paved, lol
