Hello from the bayou state!
I have about 40 birds, EEs, RIRs and WLs. (I say "about", most of the hens are not named, and there has been a fox around...)
Also I have two red quarter horses, two mutt dogs, a cat, and a rabbit.
I will probably be in the coop construction section for a while, the chicken's present abode is made from 2-inch chicken wire wrapped around four posts under an old shed roof. (No walls.) It has a run, and provides shelter from rain, but warm as Louisiana winters are, when it is rainy, windy, and cold all at the same time, I do get a bit worried. It's going to be fun building the new coop! Found some old shutters in the other end of the shed, and I'm thinking about getting window boxes in front!
Anyway, I am looking forward to meeting new people, and talking about chooks!
