Hi everyone, just thought I'd say hello.
Me and my partner have recently decided to start looking after some chickens.
We live in a Suburb of Melbourne, Australia but only have a very small backyard. So we decided to get 3 Light Sussex Bantams. We chose them for their friendly nature, one of the reasons we decided to get chickens in the first place is because we have a one year old son and we want him to have a connection to where his food comes from.
Overall though we're looking to become just a little more self sufficient...
I've been reading on this forum for months while considering getting the chickens and have already found it a very valuable resource.
