I just joined but I have been lurking for a few years! I first got into chickens in April 2009 with 3 bsl's and a welsummer. All but one (bsl hen named bbq) were killed by cayotes. I then got 6 fluff balls that turned out to be really big cochins. In May 2010 I was given a 1 year old brahma rooster to go with my big ladies. He is by far the best rooster I have come across. In July 2010, my husband came home with a box full of 20 little chicks to keep me occupied! Imagine that. They turned out to be all pullets - amazing. At nine months old, my favorite pullet by far is DS my white leghorn - she is crazy fun. All together I have 27 adult chickens (including 2 broodies) and 14 chicks ranging from 1 to 6 weeks old. I could talk about chickens all day long s I better now. Thanks
