Hello from the Oregon Coast.
Although I live in a very rural county, I only started with chickens less than two years ago. In the past I have raised canaries, Java rice birds, gouldian finches and standard poodles.Currently, I have a kid, a chihuahua, 2 cats and 5 chickens (buff orp, 2 new hamp reds, two black stars) and I'm desperate to get some nice Japanese and silkie bantams and a couple of cuckoo marans. My feed store has regular shipments this time of year and I have no complaints with my girls, but would like some fancy pretties to move into the condo I have attached to my chicken palace. I work full time and find the time with my "girlfriends" very relaxing at the end of a stressful day.
