Hello everyone!! We just ordered our first flock of baby chicks due to arrive the second week of June! We are working on coop plans and thinking of using pallets. We are very excited to raise the chickens... I always had chickens growing up but this will be my husband and I's first go at it! :)

Hi! Congrats on the new flock of chickens...what kind are you getting? I am a new member too. My husband had never had chickens either and now he loves our girls and looks forward to taking care of them right along with me..

We are getting a mixture of hens, 6 cochins(blue, partridge, black, buff), 2 buff orpingtons, 2 salmon faverolles, a speckled sussex, 2 araucanas, a light and a dark brahma. We have chickens on the brain! :)
 
Wow, what a great assortment! your flock will be so pretty. We just have Americaunas...but they come in so many colors they look like different kinds too. Will you post pictures of them when you get them? I would have chicks of the brain too. :)
 
Oh yes, I will make sure to post lots of pics!! I had to modify the list of what to get several times for fear of reading some types were more prone to being bullies than others! Fingers crossed that it works out! :)

Love all the breeds you ordered. My very first order was for cochins, and they are still one of my favorites. Very friendly and want to be sitting on me when Im outside.

Thank you!! I am so excited for them to arrive!! After reading reviews I am hoping I get all females and that they arrive safely! It's hard to guess where to buy from! :)
