Hi,
I am kind of new to this, I got my first baby chicks 18 months ago. We recently moved from TN to IL, 10 of the chickens and 2 roosters moved with me the other 5 I got here, actually one just showed up in the coop. I have 15 chickens and 2 roosters. The roosters hatched from the egg and they seem to be getting along well so far. I have all different kinds.
5 of my chickens were bothered very much by the roosters, one had a bloody head and the others were depressed, running away and hiding. So I separated them. They do have a place in the barn with the goats and seem to like their new life.

So sorry to hear about the bully roosters! They can be troubling. I hope they all can settle in and settle down.
Moving can be stressing for critters and people!
So glad you joined the site. Now you have 2 places to call home.. Your new place and BYC!

This is a photo friendly site and we :love

Too many roosters. A rooster can handle 10 hens each, so you either need more hens or less roos. If you don't need fertile eggs for hatching or sale, you can get along fine without any roosters. The hens will thank you for it. Even when you have enough hens, the ones that aren't fast enough to get away or hide, will still get over bred.
