Hi, I have been using this site for poultry info for a couple of years but have finally signed up. I have chickens, coturnix quail, two turkeys (Thanksgiving and Christmas), and just started with button quail. I ordered button quail eggs online to incubate and this morning they started hatching. I think this was the smoothest incubation I have ever had, and 10 out of 24 have hatched so far. I am excited to see what my button quail will look like once they get feathers, and I am glad there are experienced quail folks here online who can help if I have questions. I am also interested in the different varieties of coturnix quail; the ones I hatched in June look like 4 different color types (pharoah, dark brown, italian, and tuxedo mix) and they are now laying eggs pretty steadily. I am planning to start another set of coturnix eggs later this month.
Happy hatching!

Hi Sara and welcome to BYC - great that you have joined us. Since you have been visiting us for a couple of years, there's no need to help guide you around the site. I hope that you enjoy being a member as much as the rest of us.

Best of luck with your remaining hatch :fl
