Thank you all, so much, for the warm welcome! I was over at my sister-in-law'splace yesterday, and it turns out that she has lost one of her lovely chickens.

. I would like to try to figure out what happened to her, especially to prevent anything from happening to the remaining three ladies. I will be checking the forums you are all recommending, and can't wait to learn all about these lovely birds. Thank you so much for having me! -- Sue

Did the bird die from obvious predator attack, illness, or unknown? There are loads of ground predators but, don't overlook those from the sky as well.

Sometimes chickens just die suddenly for no apparent reason - just happens.
