(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
My son got his first chicken in 2009 from a friend who had an extra one.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

1 Black star-crossed and 1 leghorn
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I googled chickens and picked your site.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I'm a musician, mostly English handbells, now.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm married to Denny and have 5 children, 4 girls, 1 boy. The boy is the youngest. The chickens are our pets, but are egg layers. We lost one the end of last November for unknown causes. She didn't come to the coop one night, and didn't eat much after that. We also have a dutch rabbit buck named Cupcake. The chickens are Van Chicky, for Von Beethoven, and Glory. Her sister was Mercy.
Van Chicky is the "old" one and is having feather issues so I came online to look for other answers.
