Hello
My husband and I along with our 3 small kiddos, have decided we would like to start raising chickens. We've been thinking about it for a year now, we just expanded our garden, and now feel adding some small farm animals is the next step. We do have a few obstacles in our our way, we live in subdivision, that does allow livestock, but no poultry, but yet we know a few of the neighbors have poultry, so we figured we would try it and see what happen, if they do find out they would take them away ;(. we want to start out with 3 Road Island red Hens.
Our property size is a little over an acre.
The Coop is another obstacle for us, my poor husband is not very handy, and everything we cost an arm and a leg, the cheapest we can find that is decent is $300.
I love this site, and the tons of great info I'm able to find
