Hi from San Jose California

I've been lurking on this site since we acquired our chicken from a Vet in Los Gatos back in August! Someone found it and we decided to adopt it rather than give it to my Mom who lives in Jackson CA and has chickens. Since then we have made a coop for her and small run until I can buy more chickens in the spring. I would love to post pictures as soon as I figure it out. My chicken is very friendly and loves when I come sit in the coop. When we got her we took her to a vet that sees chickens to make sure she was heathly and find out approximately how old she was. We were told she is young? Hasn't laid any eggs and since it's winter I'm not expecting any till next year. I love reading all the posts and look at the awesome coop designs! That gave me the plans an ideas to make my coop!

I stand corrected since last night! She laid her first egg this morning!

I took a picture but can't figure out how to post it on here using my iPhone! Can you only post pictures from your computer? I hardly ever turn that on anymore!
