I've been talking about getting chickens for over a year now, A couple weeks ago I finally started on my chicken tractor! I have a large suburban yard and my neighbors are on board so that's nice. I can have 5 hens, but I don't know if I will go for all five at first.

I'm looking forward to the eggs, the compost for my garden, the bug elimination, and the entertainment. My parents (and I by default I guess) raised rabbits for most of my life, but I've always wanted chickens.

All I have to do is put the wire on now! And make some ladders and roosts. I am going to post a thread on my tractor in the coop forum.

I look forward to learning a lot about chickens.
