Hi from SoCal! New home owner and New chicken keeper

Hello! So happy to find this forum, so much info on here! I have had many many pets in my life, including birds, but this is my first experience with chickens. My home now includes me and hubby, 3 kidos, 5, 3, and about to turn 1, one kitty, 3 pet rats, and 3 six week old chicks, and a 12ish week old silky. We use our back yard to grow food, chickens for fresh eggs seemed like a good next step. Happy to be here! I have learned so much already just reading the boards!
