Hi, Im Katherine,
Im from South Africa. Me and my husband moved to a smallholding about a year ago. Having an enourmous new garden is what introduced me to the world of chickens much to my husbands dismay (at first. now he loves all our little chooks). I started off getting a few Australorp chicks, and about three weeks ago I ordered in some Koekoeks (SA breed) from a neighbouring city. And then I built my own incubator and hatched out four Australorp chicks from the first eggs my Gertie layed. The babies are just over a week old now and are absalutely gorgeous! I am completely hooked and am keen to incubate some more eggs soon. I'd love to get some different breeds too. I was so excited to find your website as I'm driving everyone here nuts with my chickens lol
