Hi all. New to this site and the whole back yard chicken thing in general!
We adopted 5 hens and a rooster during last years bushfires to help out a friend.
During that year we've experienced the joys of watching eggs hatch and chicks being raised and also the sadness of discovering a fox has raided the pen.
Having a few issues with the flock we have now and hoping to learn a lot more about looking after them.

Hi and welcome to BYC. In addition to the learning centre, theres a Predators and Pests forum that you may wish to look at.
You also have a country thread called "Australia, six states that funny little island" that you may wish to join and chat with members local to you.

All the best

Thanks everyone for the welcome!

Loving exploring the wonderful world of chooks at the moment =, theres so much to learn about them

Please check out the predator threads on BYC for advice on preventing another attack. You may also want to ask others on the Aussie thread for suggestions. Are you allowed to have electrified fencing around your coop/run? That can be helpful or else a brace of guardian dogs to handle the bad guys.
