1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes and no. I grew up with chickens at my grandparents home and my parents. I feed them daily and collected eggs, but that was 34 years ago. Starting new for myself this time.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Just got 16 little ones.
(3) What breeds do you have? They were a mixed lot called red pullets.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Searching internet for plans to build a chicken coop.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I enjoy sewing, scrapbooking, making yard art by repurposing what ever I find at Goodwill and thrift stores, and gardening.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My children are grown and have families of their own now. My husband and I have retired and enjoy just being home. I enjoy being outside, so my husband follows me in his golf cart watching and advising.
