A friend gave me a few Seabrights--the smallest of the miniature hens--as a gift a few years ago, which got me started on poultry.
They are pretty and came be tamed. Over the years we lost 2 hens and I couldn't find anyone who would sell just one or two Seabright hens (they always want to include the rooster--but they make too much noise for our circumstances). So I got a companion Peking Black miniature who is sociable too. Then somone gave me a funny mystery mix hen. So we have a motley crew, plus 7 cats.
