Hi, From Staten Island, NY... and a newbie!

Hi everyone...

I'm newbie to raising chickens and I will be getting my babies this weekend..2 buffs and 2 ameracauna's ... to start. They will be a few weeks old.. so I will be setting up a brooder, heat lamp, waterer, feeder, starter feed.. and pine shavings, also have wee wee pads, I also have chihuahua's..lol.. Anyway I am a nervous wreck right now, a new mom and all... .any tips, GREATLY appreciated.

While they are staying inside keeping warm, I will be converting a nice 4x6x8 lean to shed into their coop... it's a very solid, thick amish made shed... I don't know where to start, yikes... I know it needs nesting boxes, windows and lots of air ventilation.. oh boy... here I go!!!

Hi...I'm from Staten Island also and have just received 5 Plymouth Rocks...had 3 and am down to 1 5 month old as the other 2 were roosters..will be integrating the chickies Ina few weeks to the older one
