They're not really chickens. They're peafowls and I just got them today.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Peafowls? Just a pair.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Indian blue pied and spalding.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I honestly have yet to know but I think that will be when I get to breed them.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Just video games
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I just became a father less than a year ago. I have dogs, tortoise, and a rabbit that my sons is very fond of. It is because of his strong interest on animals that I decided to try keeping peafowls.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I learned about BYC just days ago through google. Other than the breeder who I got this pair from, I dont know anyone else who keeps peafowls in our area. It's nice being part of the BYC community where I could share my future success and challenges in keeping peafowls.
