Hi all!

I'm so glad that I found this site! It's been my go-to site for chicken questions. I've never had chickens before, but I picked up my first chicks last Friday, four Barred Rocks and two Buff Orpingtons. For the first two days I poked them or tapped the cardboard every time they laid down because it looked like they were dead... Poor chicks! Right now they're all peeking around the water dish as the bravest one tries to figure out what a mirror is. It's been so fun getting to know their personalities. I never would have thought two months ago that I'd be the crazy chicken lady I'm turning into.
