Hi from Virginia's Eastern Shore.

Do you think it was a scratch from a peck or some debris that got in the eye? When one of my roosters had a runny eye, I cleaned it with saline and then read that neosprin ointment can be used in the eye (without the pain relief ingredient and not the cream). They also sell eye ointment in some farm store that has often has the same ingredients. I put the neosporin in the eye twice a day and flushed the eye at least once a day. It started clearing in a few days for my rooster.

Thanks so much, everyone. I tried the neoaporin because that's what we had on hand. Fingers crossed that it works!
