My mom and I got into chickens about two years ago, and we are hooked! We started out with four chickens and progressed to nine! We have a Silkie, Rhode Island Red, OEG, Cochin, two Polish, Seabright, Rhode Island White and a Orpington! When my mom said she wanted chickens and I wasn't too sure... I mean chickens? Aren't they boring? Boy was I wrong! It's amazing how each chicken has their own personality!! If I said I didn't love my chickens I think I would be lying! They are amazing and such entertainers! I swear, I laugh at least once a day at the just being chickens!

My little RIR bantam hen Dorothy has a very special place in my heart

She is my baby girl!
Aside from chickens, I also raise and breed rare breed rabbits! Including Creme D'Argents, Champagne D'Argents, Cinnamons and Beverens! I have about 30+ rabbits at the moment

So, I hope to learn more about chickens and meet some nice chicken people!!

I love Darcy! Looks a lot like a white Cornish.

from your neighbor over in Forks, WA.

We had to give our roosters away because we're in the city.....but the new people either kept their names the same....or modified them slightly. Little Rose went to being named Pete Rose. Funny how they have so much personality behind them and they do become one of your pets. Welcome to the forum....from North Idaho!

I never knew chickens had so much personality, some are very social while others do their own thing! Thanks for the welcome
