Hi,
I was on Barkyard Chickens before but something happened to my log in information--and I had to change my e-mail address. I didn't spend a lot of time on this site and plan to spend more time. My husband and I have six chickens living in our backyard. At one time they had the run of the yard but after several times finding chickens on the deck, on the table and walking into the house, I had my husband coral them into a corner of the yard. We enjoy them very much and this is our third group, having chickens when our children were young and then many years ago and now with the kids gone and grand-kids coming over to collect eggs.
I am looking forward to the many ideas on this site and the wonderful information. Last year, there were several suggestions for getting rid of the raccoons that decided to house in our trees, right above our chicken yard. With the help of the ideas, we were able to get rid of the raccoons before they made a meal of our chickens and destroyed our chicken yard.
