Hi! My name is Sarah and we just got 6 pullets(6-8 months) from farmer in the area the week. I've never had chickens before but always wanted to. We currently live in an agricultural area, for all that we only have a qtr acre.
I have a six yr old boy, and 4 German shepherds. Currently, my ladies have a 9 x 12 run with a coop.
I have 2 barred rocks, 2 delawares, 1 buttercup and 1 buff Orpington. Since I got them Monday, I got 2 eggs on Tuesday, 1 on wednesday and nothing yesterday....... I am pretty sure only two of them are laying at this time.
I am really excited to learn more about these guys and get my own eggs....my kid is excited to eat " real chicken eggs"..... ;-)
