(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
(3) What breeds do you have?
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We did have chickens about 15 years ago.
We are getting our babies next wed. the 23rd./ 15 is how many we will be picking up from the hatchery. We lucked out we are close enough to just go pick them up.
Googled how to raise chickens and your website came up..
We just bought a tractor last fall / excited for the new things we can actually grow this year, I love to study God's Word, knit, and read and just beginning to blog. We like to garden
We are empty nesters but only for about another week... haha I guess getting chickens will end being empty nesters huh?
We have a daughter who is 32yrs old and 2 darling little grand daughters 6, and 3 and they are already coming up with the names for the new family members.
Our brooder is ready to go, and hubby is working on coop.
So the excitement begins, sure am glad we have this website though looks as though it answers any questions that might be out there.
I am also seriously thinking about raising our own mealworms.
