I’m a new flock owner. I hatched 6 buff Orpingtons last September. They are now almost 18 weeks old.
Four are roosters and two hens.
The roosters will be lovingly and respectfully processed but the hens are for eggs.
I need to learn as much as I can to have happy health backyard chickens.

That is a beautiful pullet! I would recommend getting at least one more pullet. They are very social creatures, so if you lose one, the other will be very lonely. Will you keep one of the cockerels? A good rooster will help you so much with the flock.
