(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

I first got chickens 3 years ago. This is my first flock and I am loving the chicken mom life.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
15

(3) What breeds do you have?
Easter Eggers, cream legbar, olive egger, golden laced wyandottes, and red speckled Sussex

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love watching them do their chicken things, I also love how affectionate they can be! I never expected this from chickens! Plus, the fresh eggs can’t be beat!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Baking and volunteering with the highschool group at our church
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

It just me and my husband right now, and our mixed breed chihuahua, Pickle. I’m an homemaker my husband is a cloud architect.


(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D

Just found it today on google! Excited to find a place after I gave up Facebook!

I do! I must admit I picked breeds based on their egg color! lol
