Hello fellow chicken lovers! You can call me Mama B and I started raising chickens only about one year ago. My husband surprised me with a coop and the cutest pair of silkies for my birthday last year and I have been obsessed ever since. We’ve lost three birds to predators, including one of my original silkies, but have learned from our mistakes.
Currently I have two paint satin silkies (one of which is a roo with some color variations bleeding through shown above), a black silkie who is currently broody, and a white crested black polish. We just ordered a grab bag of bantams from Meyer Hatchery which we plan on slipping in under our broody girl after her clutch hatches if she’ll go for it. Here are some pictures of our girls:
