I was just wondering if anyone can tell me if this silver laced wyandotte is a rooster. it is 14 weeks old.

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Looking at the comb I would say no you have a pullet there. Wyandottes are not a breed I keep so don't take this as gospel. I'm sure more greeters will be along shortly to help you further. There is also the what breed gender section. Here is the link ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this
Would you be able to get a pic of the bird from the side? This would really help as the tail can be an indicator of gender too.

Wishing you the very best of luck and enjoy BYC :frow

Ok thank you so much I hope you are right! Hard to get a good pic because they don't stand still and are always together! The only reason I thought rooster is because the comb is so different than the other two and its also redder!

In the second picture I think I can see the start of saddle feathers. If that is the case, it would be male. Hopefully those on the "what breed/gender is this?" thread can help you sex it for sure.

I think I see pointed hackle feathers - which would indicate a cockerel. Do post on the "what breed or gender thread is this." Be sure to give the age at time photos were taken. This is very important. Welcome to Backyard chickens.
