(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I've been raised around chickens my whole life, but just now getting back into it.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have about 30 chickens at the moment, not including turkeys and quail.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Americana, buff orfington, silkies, sizzles, speckled Sussex, and a few I'm not sure what they are.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
My 3 year old and I just like to go out there and look at them, he loves checking for eggs, and eggs from your own taste so much better than the store.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a stay at home mother of a 3 year old boy, we also have 4 dogs, 2 rabbits, 5 quail, and 2 turkeys.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
Google search about chickens, always at the top of the list. I've been looking at this page for months and finally decided to join!

Welcome! I love my speckled Sussex, she is by far my sweetest bird (and my three year old's favourite). Sounds like you have quite the flock! I decided to join for the same reason recently: googling and BYC being top results all the time :)

I bought the Sussex thinking it was a trio turned out they were all roosters lol. My 3 year olds favorite is the Americanas I think just because of the colored eggs.
