I just got six little bearded silkie chicks three days ago. We are working on our coop looked at plans online but attempting to figure it out ourselves. I want to paint it yellow. I have a one year old son who is absolutely delighted by the little chicks. Love them already. One question, do they need medicated feed? I don't have any grit yet but I read they don't need that if you are only giving them feed. Thanks!

! Great to have you aboard! The medicated vs. non-mediated feed decision goes both ways on BYC. Personally, I use medicated. You might type those two words into the BYC search bar and read some of the differing opinions. Good luck to you!
