I had a great Lock started in 2023. Granted my husband did most to work still does I have health issues.
We had 3 large hens one miniature rooster in 1 miniature so the only breeding we were able to do was with the miniatures.
In October of 2024 they passed they drowned.
We barely got ourselves there was a huge flash flood it rained that much in a 100 years and it was actually a little bit more than a 100 years ago we had 10 feet of water in our house when it was said and done.
We had Bread 9 baby Chickens. The original mother of those babies and a rooster and 3 hens that were rather large comparatively.
We had fresh eggs every day and we're doing great. But then flood. In the major cleanup that came with a flood and having 10 feet of water in your brand new to you home it took a while a little over a year well now we're ready again we got 4 babies to start.
Ended up with 3 roosters in one hen they're still really small, just weeks old still. The tractor store doesn't really give you any more details than that we don't really know what kind they are or how old they are.
My husband's really good at telling what sex they are during that narrow window they start getting their tail feathers.
We've had them about 2 weeks and they were already a couple of weeks old I'm pretty sure they're miniatures they're black but 3 of them turned out to be Roosters. And we only got 4 so far 3 roosters 1 hen no good.
But I definitely need to learn a lot more and get more proper names I mean I know what stuff is but I don't know what it's called interesting case it's always good to have more information about your animals. So here I am hoping somebody needs a rooster freeAnd so I can learn more about my chickens this time than I did last.
