(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I've had chickens for about 7 years now.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have about 20 and my son has his own bantam flock, he loves chickens and he shows in 4-H
(3) What breeds do you have? Australorps, barred rock, Easter Eggers, buff orpingtons, Rhode Island reds, cinnamon queens, lavender orpingtons.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? They are so fun to watch, they keep the bugs down, and they give us eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? reading, horses, hiking
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My husband and I have 4 kids, 1 daughter in law, and 1 beautiful granddaughter. Our youngest son is a chicken enthusiast as well and it is fun to share this hobby with him.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
. Through Google, My son got an incubator for Christmas, so we are new to incubating eggs, so many new things to learn. This is the perfect place to learn. The threads are full of knowledgeable people. Looking forward to learning and eventually passing my knowledge on, too.
