Hi, I'm wanting to hatch out my own replacements for my commercial flock of Quail. I've not long started with this venture but I'd like to have a go with a few eggs as a test run, before it's too important!

The problem is with humidity, there is no water in my incubator but it's showing 65%. I'm wondering if there's a problem with my thermometer, I've heard of people calibrating them but have no idea how to do this?

I'd appreciate some help or if someone could point me in the right direction!

Thanks!

Where do you live? In the midwest in the rainy season 65% would be pretty normal. Check your reading against your local weather. I live in California and my bators run just under 50% with no water

The meter on my incubator reads over 50%all the time but I put a more trustworthy one in that says I'm around 35%. In the end I don't really worry about it.
