Hi there! My boyfriend and I decided to try out hand at chickens. We grow out own fruit and veggies and we do a lot of DIY so, we thought this was a good start. We got 2 seabrights, 1 white jap blacktail, 2 americauna, 1 Rhode Island Red, 1 golden wyandotte, 1 Plymouth barred rock. They are a blast!! Wilma and Monet (barred rock and wyandotte) like to sleep on the back of my neck! We have outgrown the brooder box, so I built them a larger solution, a wardrobe box, flipped on it's side, and top cut off. We are building the coup outside- and planted grass for the "run" portion of it. We are about as excited as we can be. So any suggestions, tips, advice... Ill take it ALL!!
