Do you have to keep them refrigerated until you want to feed to the chickens? Also, how do you separate the worms from the oats inside the container? I was told you shouldn't feed them the oats the worms come in.I buy mine in bulk from amazon. I'd definitely look for best bang for the buck.
Mine are dehydrated and don't come in oats. Oats would kind of defeat the purpose. Meal worms are very high in protein somewhere around 51%, corn 8%, and oats 10%... But you want to limit Oats to no more than 15% by volume of what they eat, including what's in your feed. Here's the worms I buy: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013GS69F...t=&hvlocphy=9013691&hvtargid=pla-311494232761 A lot more than you need--but it gives you an idea. I have a few more birds than you.Do you have to keep them refrigerated until you want to feed to the chickens? Also, how do you separate the worms from the oats inside the container?
