If you've had them before then you'll do fine. Only difference is that if you only have a few they are much more like pets.
When I was a kid and on a farm with almost 100 chickens they were just birds, and my chore, with a few exceptions in chickens that I developed a fondness for. Now I see my birds as very smart, loving creatures who know me and are excited to see me coming.*
