I'm new to having chickens my father had some when I was young. now that I have my own son I figured it's time to teach him about raising chickens. I bought there's two from a farm store and was told they didn't know what kind of chickens they were here is a pic and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they were

Hi Jeremy, WELCOME TO BYC. My name is Robin and it is nice to meet you. This is a good thing that you are doing by introducing your son to chickens. I am proud of you :). The white one looks like a White Leghorn and the red one may be a Rhode Island Red. I am far from a professional. But those are my guesses. There are a lot of red birds. So I might be so wrong on her.

Red Sexlinks normally start laying around 22 weeks. If yours is Red Sexlink, you should be getting eggs or will start getting eggs very soon. My Redsex Links are very sweet!
