Yes, like Janie said above the oil might help. Usually pasty butt comes when they're too hot as at that age, they don't know enough to get away from the heat.

Welcome to the coop! If all else falls you can take medical scissors to cut it out but that should be the last resort. (Had to do it once only.). I believe oil will work.
