Also, is there a certain number of posts you have to have in order to upload pictures, or can you just not do it from an iPod (since that's what I'm using right now)?

Just send a pm to a moderator with your current username and what you want to change it to.

You do have to post a certain number of times before you can post pictures to the forum. Exact number varies.

I don't know about musical symbols, but if you know the ANSI code for the character, you can hold ALT and enter the four digit code (i.e. ALT+0176 will give you the degree symbol ° ).
