Hello, everyone
I have a small flock of 12 laying hens, 2 that are broody, 3 pullets that should start laying soon and 2 roosters. I get anywhere between 1-8 eggs any given day.
I've just started selling eggs and on here looking for software to keep track of sales. Thanks and God bless

Welcome to BYC, Vanessa! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Sounds like you have a great flock! What breeds are your chickens?

Good luck with selling those eggs! Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Have you explored our learning center yet? TONS of helpful info there!

Thank you,

I have several RIR's, a White Leghorn, several Barred Rocks, I believe some Welsummers, and some white hens with brownish feathers I've yet to identity, I guys are a RIR/white leghorn and a white Sussex.

Welcome!
I would say use excel but you might want to be more thorough than that. I sell our eggs currently, but we do not keep track of it. We only have about 7 hens currently so it takes just short of a week to collect a dozen together to sell. Only four of our 7 are laying currently. What have you priced your eggs at or what will you price them at to sell?

Hi, thanks for the reply,
I have a Mac, so not sure about Excel, but can use their version of a spreadsheet.
My girls are giving me dozens of eggs a week and to special people I've been giving them away, like granddaughter gave her 18 last week.
I'm selling them at $4.00 a dozen because I feed them vegetables plus calcium. But then I'm also doing the same for my horse, goat, rabbit, geese, and ducks, they all eat basically the same diet.
Have people waiting on the duck and goose eggs also and will price them even higher.
Take care and thanks again about the spreadsheet advice, will look into it.
God bless

Those are great breeds!
Hope you are enjoying them!

They are some wonderful girls, very friendly, and easy to take care of, and we enjoy each other.
I like that they get along so well with my 5 dogs and 4 cats
Thanks so much for the welcomes!!
